Learn Pronounce is a free tool that speaks any English word aloud in six English accents — American, British, Australian, Indian, Canadian and Irish — with male and female voices. American, British and Australian are available through neural server voices; Indian, Canadian and Irish play through the voices your own device provides, entirely offline.
A pronunciation tool that shows you every voice you actually have, and never pretends to have one you don't.
Type a word and hear it spoken in as many accents as are available to you, each with a male and a female voice. Tap any voice to hear that exact one, or use Play all to run through every accent in turn. No account is needed, nothing you type is stored on a server, and the tool works offline when your device has local voices installed.
Our mission
Pronunciation is the hardest part of learning English — and the most misunderstood. Most dictionaries give you a single "correct" answer, but real English has dozens of accents and hundreds of accepted variations. Learn Pronounce lets you hear every accent side by side, so you can choose the one that matches your needs, whether you're preparing for an exam, training for a job interview, or simply trying to be understood.
How it works

for accents your device doesn't have. It covers American, British and Australian only,
so Indian, Canadian and Irish are never faked with a neighbouring accent — they play
only when your own device supplies that voice. When you press Pronounce, the word, the
voice ID and the speed are sent, and nothing is stored.
Privacy, stated honestly
No accounts, no advertising, and nothing sold. Your settings, history and saved words stay in your browser's local storage and never leave your device. Server voices send exactly one request per word — the word itself, the voice and the speed. Nothing is logged or stored.
The one exception, which we will not pretend away: the site can load Google Analytics 4 to count visits. It is off by default and is only ever loaded if you press Accept on the consent banner. Decline, and no request goes to Google at all. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
Who writes this
Learn Pronounce is written and maintained by Muhammad Usama, a software engineer and the sole author of every line of code, every guide and every phonetic entry on this site. Every commit in the project's public repository carries the same name, so you can check who wrote what and when rather than taking a claim on trust.
This is a one-person project rather than an editorial board, and we would rather say so than hide behind an anonymous "team". What that means in practice — where the phonetic data comes from, how transcriptions are checked, and what we do when sources disagree — is written out in full in our editorial policy.
The tool uses the browser's Web Speech API for device voices and Cloudflare Workers AI for the neural server voices. If you find an error in a transcription or a guide, email it in — corrections are the fastest way to make this better.
